Luis is a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with over 25 years of dedicated training experience. Born and raised in Guam, Luis has deep roots in the local community and a profound commitment to the martial art. As the proud owner of The Pound Academy in Guam, Luis has cultivated a space where passion for Jiu-Jitsu meets excellence in training.


Recognized by the IBJJF, SJJIF, UAE, and AGF, Luis is not only an active competitor but also an instructor committed to excellence. With a special qualification in teaching kids, and disabled veterans, Luis brings a unique and inclusive approach to Jiu-Jitsu, ensuring that the art is accessible to everyone.


Currently pursuing a degree in Biology in Wichita, Kansas, Luis balances academic pursuits with a relentless passion for sharing the art of Jiu-Jitsu. Whether on the mats or in the classroom, Luis is dedicated to spreading the benefits and discipline of Jiu-Jitsu to all who seek it.
